Trekking, tour guidati, escursioni in barca. Easter in the Cinque Terre offers good temperatures, still moderate tourism flows and the same charm as always.

For some time now you can take the ferry from La Spezia to Portovenere and the Cinque Terre, and that is already an unmistakable sign that the summer has arrived: the time to be outdoors, to experience nature from the sea to the mountains, shaking off some of the winter torpor.
Easter is then a highlight, with its festive atmosphere, the desire to be together to celebrate spring.

Some ideas to spend Easter at Cinque Terre and La Spezia: Trekking, guided tours, sea, but also culture in case the weather is a little ‘ inclement

Trekking classics are a must for Easter: they are the ones that allow you to enjoy the most beautiful views of the sea and mountains. The route from Campiglia to Portovenere is one of the most beloved, also because if properly done only in one sense, and therefore carefully avoiding the steep climb of the return to Campiglia, it is also allowed to those who do not miss a good meal at Easter.

But of course, there are also the typical paths among the villages of the Cinque Terre. (we have described for example the one between Levanto and Monterosso, or to discover the most panoramic staircases towards the sea, or again towards the ancient sanctuaries of the Cinque Terre).

For those who love trekking but also for those who are improvised walkers, the Cinque Terre Park this year has prepared, together with Legambiente, a Vademecum guide to address the walks, far from simple of the Cinque Terre.

With the message If you are a fool, you will fall down in English, the social campaign wants to make visitors aware of the routes that are aware of difficulties, lengths and are properly equipped.
The hope is to reduce the incidence of small and large accidents on the paths, usually caused by the superficiality of the hiking approach.

For those who love the sea, boat trips and kayaking are a must

But this is also the time of the sea: the beaches are not yet completely crowded, even if the days of Easter are still quite busy, and the temperatures allow you to enjoy the sun without toasting. There are many possible boat tours, from Portovenere to the islands, or to see the Cinque Terre from the sea, or even to the easternmost part of the Gulf, to Lerici, Tellaro, up to the Punta Bianca which closes the coastline. We recommend the sunset time to enjoy the most beautiful views and emotions, although for now, it is still advisable to wear a heavier shirt.
In Kayak you can enjoy the beauty of the Gulf of Poets with all the calm you want, conquering beauty at your own pace, or actually with your own paddling.

In case of bad weather, culture can be the refuge. Exhibitions, museums, and a city tour.

Unfortunately, there is the possibility the weather is not the best. In that case, we recommend a little culture, which could surprise many in La Spezia: the city’s museums offer lots of ideas to discover not only local art, for example with the Statue Stele at the Castello San Giorgio, but also international art collections such as the one of Museo Lia and Seal Museum and
The city, then you can comfortably visit in a day, even with a somewhat inclement weather.

For those who have their own transport, the Lunigiana and its Castles always offer the possibility of a nice trip out of town.
