Tellaro, land of the Poets
A nirvana between sea and sky, the rocks and the green mountain
With these words Mario Soldati described Tellaro, a village that won the title as one of the “most beautiful Italian hamlets". The writer lived here, and it is only one of the many to which we owe the name of “Gulf of the poets" attributed to the bay of evocative beauty on which the village overlooks together with many other hamlets of inestimable beauty.

Coming from the sea the little church of San Giorgio, perched on the rocks of the sea, rises up against the waves. The perched houses of the fortified village are grouped behind him as if in search of a guide and a defense, and form a fascinating intrigue of narrow streets, the carùgi, a charm in which one can lose oneself fascinated and always surprised, even when one returns several times in search for the same magic.
Discover with us the village of Tellaro with a 3-hour walk accompanied by an expert guide to explore the history, the art, the sights and the many surprises that the village has in store.
